Hyde Park Preschool Spring Portraits- Austin, TX School Photographer

Here are a few images, and I am not kidding by a few, of the spring photo sessions that I did at Hyde Park Preschool.  I have 150 photos edited of the kids from Tuesday and I am going back tomorrow for more! I originally wanted to do the sessions outside but rain got in the way.  Instead I was in a stairwell, with a big window, and my backdrop... and I think we got some pretty darn cute images!!

Farewell Friends!!- Family Portraits Photographer Austin, Texas

I was honored, and excited, when my friend contacted me about photographing her family before they moved from Austin to Chicago.  Their daughter, Lucy, is such a BEAUTIFUL little girl, inside and out.  She was full of energy and up for every idea that I had.  Some of my favorite images are just the ones where she was being herself playing peek-a-boo and doing her, one year old, strut.  Muhlig family, Austin and your friends will miss you!!!  Good luck with your next new adventure and come back often to visit. :)

Kerr County Festival- Austin, TX Family Photographer

We are so lucky that John's grandparents have a vacation home in the Texas Hill Country.  It is so nice to remove yourself from the everyday and just go relax, tinker around town, and spend time with family and friends.  I didn't open my laptop all weekend; well actually just once for two minutes.  I also only took ONE photo the whole weekend.  I just sat down at the computer, to get back to business, and looked at this photo and thought it was so funny; it must be shared.  I tried to jazz it up in photoshop but really... it is just my husband, at the Kerr County Festival, pushing Eloise's doll stroller, and carrying the two balloons the kids had to have and quickly didn't want to carry.

I did purchase an adorable crochet red apple baby hat that I can't wait to use soon at a session!!!

3 Months Young- Baby Photographer Austin, TX

Just before Christmas I got to photograph this doll when she was brand new.  It was so fun hanging with  this family again, and seeing how her little personality has come out in 3 short months.  The change that a baby goes through in the first year is unbelievable.   At three months you get to see them rolling over, holding their head up, interacting and smiling at you.  Such a joy to capture!

There was lots of sentiment is this session.  The mom expressed she wanted photos of her three month old on a quilt that was made for the mom when she was a baby.    Of course, I had to get little Macey posed on the blanket so you could see the 'East Texas'.   She also had ideas of her wearing two dresses, similar to one's the mom had when she was little, the white & sailor dresses.  Crazy thing.... I had those same dresses as well.  :)

Rodeo Austin- Austin's Lifestyle Family Photographer

Yesterday, John and I took the kids to the Austin rodeo.  It was an afternoon of firsts.  Eloise's first carnival ride, the first taste of cotton candy for the kids  & Finn's first time on a roller coaster.  Finn is my little daredevil; he is not scared of anything.  I look forward to the day when I can take him to a real amusement park and have a partner to ride all the scary rides with.  No photos of the roller coaster, because I got to ride that one with him. :)

Infectious Love!! Austin Family Photographer

 I witnessed the true meaning of closeness.  Their wonderful mom had a goal. Capture my children together as they are,  their playful selves, and get individual portraits of each.  This was an easy task. The love between these three is infectious.  I was impressed by how helpful and into the session the older kids were.  We traveled to a few different locations and had a blast while doing it!  This is truly a sneak peak because we got so many amazing photos!

Big Eyes- Austin, TX Newborn Baby Photography

Besides this guy being itty bitty, I wouldn't have known he was only nine days old!  He was so bright eyed for most of his newborn session.  I can't blame him though; he sure had some beautiful big eyes to show off.  Welcome to the world baby Hershey!
